Mechanism of action \u2014 cardiolipin binding<\/h2>\n

The mechanism of action of SS-31 is fundamentally different from that of most research peptides: its target is not a cell surface receptor, but cardiolipin<\/strong> \u2014an anionic phospholipid unique to the inner mitochondrial membrane.<\/p>\n
